== History ==
Soonr was founded in 2005 by Martin Frid-Nielsen, CEO, Steven Boye, CTO, Lars Gunnersen, VP of engineering and Song Huang, VP of marketing. The four had worked together at Borland in the late 1980s developing innovative products like Sidekick and Quattro PRO. In the 1990s, Martin and Steven were early employees at Netobjects where they developed the Fusion web authoring product, and later Collage for enterprise content management together with several other developers who later became key Soonr employees. In 2001, the team joined enterprise software provider Merant, who acquired the Collage division from NetObjects.〔http://www.eweek.com/c/a/Enterprise-Applications/Merant-to-acquire-NetObjects-division/〕 At Merant, the team evolved Collage until 2004 when the company was acquired by enterprise change management provider Serena Software for approximately $380M.〔http://www.computerworld.com.au/article/121780/serena_merant_merge/#closeme〕〔http://www.soonr.com/team.php〕
